There are actually different ways on how to achieve astral projection. It is a way wherein the conscious state of mind moves into a subtle body and leaves the physical body. Some people can naturally astral project and some people are just too afraid to leave their physical body and do the process. One is aware whenever you are already on your astral body. You may see and feel everything that comes along your way.

Doing an astral project is easy, but one must be free from physical, mental and emotional destructions. You should be relaxed, convenient and in a position where you are comfortable the most. Wearing comfortable clothing would help a lot. It doesn’t matter if you are in a reclined position, sitting or lying position, as long as you are convenient. Adjust the lighting. Make sure that your lights are dim, or even dark to ensure that no other things can destruct you. Room temperature matters as well.

It is important that you get over your fear of leaving your physical body. Hence, it will not work. To help you further relax, breathe in through your nose slowly, breathe out through your mouth slowly. Maintain this pace until you are comfortable enough. Remember, your body should be relaxed, jaws, legs, hands, arms, waist, neck, shoulders and face. Think about peace; do not think about anything else except you leaving your physical body. Close your eyes.

See yourself as you float away your physical body. As you see yourself floating, count backwards, slowly starting from three. As you start your count from three, visualize and imagine that orb floating just above your head, that orb can be any color of your choice. If you are successful with it, proceed with number two. Still doing the same, visualize the number two above your head, farther than three. When you have finally reached and visualized number one, you are fully ready and your body is totally relaxed this time. After doing so, go back to your visualization of number two, and repeat it thrice. Once this is successful, your physical body is in a more relaxed state. Finally, repeat this process, but visualizing the number one three times. Your consciousness has now reached your astral body.

Sometimes, doing it the first time may not work immediately. It may require some more practice. You can even use some audio tapes during your astral travel to further help you, and remove the tape once you have mastered the astral projection. Just remember, if you are not ready to do so, or if you are feeling fear during the visualization part, snap into reality and just decide to do it whenever your physical body is ready. It will never be successful if fear goes and wanders in your mind. Keep your consciousness awake, and leave your physical body at sleep – that is the real answer on how you can perform that astral project.
